TRAVEL DAY #5

Day 5 on the road and I'm hoping for Sedalia MO for the nite.  With moisture leaking from the sky, I head north out of Rogers on Highway 71 toward Neosho, MO with plans to pick up Highway 60 to Springfield.  Then head north out of Springfield on Hwy 65 to Sedalia.

Stops on my route include Neosho, the county seat of Newton County, the mining community of Granby, Marionville and the white squirrels, on to Republic and Wilson Creek Battlefield, and if travel and time (and weather) permit, a side trip to Newtonia to visit another battlefield.  Hope I don't run out of daisies!

There are some bridges to see in Warsaw and the German community of Cole Camp, also the site of a minor Civil War battle before I hit Sedalia.
